Get Involved

The Lehigh Valley Professional Chapter of Engineers Without Borders (EWB-LVP) has many opportunities. We look forward to having you join us and learn more about our opportunities. We need professionals of many skill sets to help us “Build a Better World One Community at a Time”. You do not need to be an engineer to help with our international or local projects.

International Engineering Projects
We need individuals willing to work on the construction, solar and water projects.  Travelers to Sierra Leone are needed, but engineering prep work is also required.  One example is determining effective but very low cost methods to clean the iron from the water in our recently drilled well.
Please contact Diana Dunn at Dunnds@airproducts.com for more information

Local Engineering Projects
We need engineering support for local agencies such as the Third Street Alliance in Easton.  We are on the closing end of the field work that needs to be done to collect the information essential for electrical wiring mapping and have started with digitalizing the information via AutoCAD. We will end this project with a final review and update of the AutoCAD drawings so that the product is robust enough to benefit the Third Street Alliance. Your help with any part of this effort (e.g. field work, digitalizing into AutoCAD, guiding the work with final product quality in mind) will be appreciated whether you are skilled or not.
As the work is finished in Easton, we will be looking for other agencies that could use our help.
Don't see a workday that would fit your schedule? Propose a workday for a local project by contacting Gary Englehardt at genglehardt@thepegasusorg.com

Engineering and Science Educational Outreach
We need support for educational projects in the community to increase understanding and awareness of engineering.  These projects are coordinated with the DaVinci Center and STRIVE.
Please contact Lori Cirucci at Bacteria61@yahoo.com for more information.

Membership
We need help maintaining a members’ skills inventory and also recruiting and integrating new members.
If you know of a professional organization or employer where we could make an introductory presentation to attract additional members please contact Carl Zvanut at Zvanutcw@gmail.com.

Communications
If you have any questions or suggestions about communications or our Website please contact Chris Hornaman at Chris.hornaman@gmail.com.
